Claire Maxwell came to hospitality from the ground up; her first restaurant job in her Vermont hometown had her serving tables as well as planting the earliest grape vines at La Garagista Vineyard, which would eventually be recognized by the James Beard Foundation for its contributions to the wine industry in America. As she pursued a degree in Visual Arts from Bennington College, she spent time at Blue Hill Stone Barns in New York before graduating and moving to Minnesota. She continued to pursue the intersection of intentional farming and thoughtful hospitality, working at The Bachelor Farmer before joining the Spoon and Stable team in 2019. Claire seeks to share wines that are made honestly but with discipline, whose processes allow a true expression of the grape. She loves connecting guests to wines that will bring their meal to life.
